Kosher sea salt is one of the most delicious and healthy products in the world. In fact, sea salt has been used by man for thousands of years. The Book of Genesis actually calls salt “bone of your bones.” There’s nothing about salty foods that’s old-fashioned or obsolete.

In a way, sea salt just might be the most important ingredient in existence. It’s vital to it. As we know, kosher salt has been used not only to improve the taste of kosher food, but also to prevent illness and promote good health. Consider this for a second: Without sea salt, life as we know it would almost certainly come to an end. That’s not hyperbole; just look around and you’ll see that this is absolutely true.

As we also know, kosher sea salt contains many essential trace minerals, some of which are extremely beneficial to our health. For example, sodium chloride (salt) has long been known to lower blood pressure, improve the functioning of the heart, and provide a healthier brain. Other minerals found in kosher sea salt include calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and zinc. And these aren’t the only trace minerals found in kosher salts. They’re in addition to other healthy ingredients that help with the taste, color, and nutritional content of food.

Now that you know why kosher sea salt works so well, it’s time to learn how to use it. The most important thing to remember is that sea salts will clump together when exposed to heat. The key to keeping kosher sea salt at the right temperature is to store it away from heat sources; this can usually be done by wrapping the salt in a plastic bag and securing it in a cooler box or something similar.

Fleur de lis kosher sea salts are sold in stores throughout the world. They are typically larger in size than regular kosher salt, though the benefits they bring to your table are no different. Fleur de lis sea salt tends to be softer than regular kosher sea salt, and it also tends to have a stronger flavor. Some consumers have even reported that fleur de lis is salty enough that it tastes “almost like sea water”.

Many kosher sea salts also feature natural crystals within the crystal salt. This gives them additional color, and a unique appearance that some find very attractive. It’s important to note, however, that natural crystals are not suitable for cooking. The coloration is considered to be distractive, and it tends to damage surfaces that come in contact with them. Most kosher sea salt manufacturers do include directions for the use of their product in the preparation of kosher foods.
